ZAP Cancer will be participating at the Znanstival 2025

From May 31 to June 1, the 16th Znanstival, a festival dedicated to the promotion of science and education, will take place on the streets, bridges, and squares of Ljubljana. The Institute of Oncology Ljubljana will also participate, presenting its research project, including ZAP Cancer.

On Friday and Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM the Garden of Experiments 2025 will take place on Stritarjeva Street, where visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to learn how cancer research is conducted in a fun and easy way.

Visitors will have the opportunity to observe healthy and cancerous tissue under a microscope, try pipetting colorful solutions, touch an interactive model of melanoma, watch a live demonstration of the electroporation, which is used for drug and gene delivery, and participate in an interactive cancer-themed quiz for a chance to win prizes.

The three-day festival is designed to encourage curiosity and creativity.
